Light Bulb Saver App

This app identifies the best light bulbs to replace your incandescent and halogen bulbs – and how much you could save by transitioning to LED or CFL.

It also provides handy tips about choosing the right lighting for each room in your house.

Lighting represents around 10 per cent of the average household electricity bill. Many households can save hundreds of dollars each year simply by installing more efficient lights.

The app was originally developed by the Swedish Energy Agency and has been customised for use in Australia.

We encourage you to download the free app and let us know what you think. Please provide your feedback to energyratingwebsite@environment.gov.au so we can continue to improve it.

Energy Rating App

When you're buying an appliance, the price on the sticker is only half the story. Knowing how much it will cost to run is often forgotten.

The free Energy Rating App calculates what the Energy Rating Label means in dollars. By adding the estimated running cost to the purchase price, people can see what they will be paying over time.

Use the App to add purchase price and running costs together to give the full life-cycle costs of major household appliances including air conditioners, fridges, dryers, washing machines, dishwashers, computer monitors and televisions.

Download the free app now on iTunes or Google Play.
