Summary

This discussion paper was prepared in July 2005 by Energy Efficient Strategies for NAEEEC and the AGO. It proposed a revised star rating algorithm for both cooling and heating modes for airconditioners that carry an energy label. The revised algorithms aim to take into account new MEPS levels that will be introduced in 2006 to 2008 (see revised RIS for details - Report 2005/16) and provides better differentiation of higher efficiency products.
