On 28 March 2025 the government assumed a Caretaker role. Information on websites maintained by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water will be published in accordance with the Guidance on Caretaker Conventions until after the conclusion of the caretaker period.

Draft Minimum Energy Performance Standards for LED Lighting

In 2015, the E3 Committee undertook public consultation on developing MEPS for LEDs, and sought stakeholders’ views on a Product Profile, which outlines a number of policy options for the technology.

Public consultation sessions were held in early September 2015, alongside consultation on the Commercial Lighting Product Profile, in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.
