On 28 March 2025 the government assumed a Caretaker role. Information on websites maintained by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water will be published in accordance with the Guidance on Caretaker Conventions until after the conclusion of the caretaker period.

Labelling for Pool Pumps, using the Energy Rating Label and Icon

Suppliers must provide and display the Energy Rating Label on swimming pool and spa pool pumps covered under the new requirements from 1 October 2022.

The Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Swimming Pool Pump-units) Determination 2021 (the Determination) provide details about the pump label and icon. This includes how and when to use them, and their format.
