The Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Rotary Clothes Dryers) Determination 2024 was registered on 4 October 2024.

We are working to update the information on this page as soon as possible to reflect the new determination. Until that time, the information (listed below), relates solely to the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Rotary Clothes Dryers) Determination 2015.

Overview

Clothes dryers are a great convenience, reducing the time it takes to complete a full laundry cycle. However, they also consume a significant amount of energy, adding to household energy bills and emissions. The Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards Determination for clothes dryers help consumers choose energy-efficient models and, in doing so, reduce their costs and carbon footprint.
