Energy Rating Icon
An Energy Rating Icon is a simplified version of the Energy Rating Label.
It can be used voluntarily to provide energy rating information for labelled products that are sold online or in advertising. This is a great way to help consumers make an informed decision.
When using an icon, make sure it is displayed near the product image or product description, and that it can be seen easily by the consumer before any online purchase is made.
Both the Energy Rating Label and Icon are trademarks of the Commonwealth of Australia. You do not need permission to use these images in your advertising or online sales platform when selling products, but you should not use the images for other purposes.
Sample Energy Rating Icons
The style of Energy Rating Icon varies depends on the product. You must use the Energy Rating Icon that is for the correct product type.
Icons are provided below for products that display a standard Energy Rating Label (not a Zoned Energy Rating Label), for each star rating. Find the product you need in the table below and click on the star rating you need.

Using the Energy Rating Icon
The Energy Rating Icon can only be used for online sales and in advertising. It cannot be used in Australian stores when offering to supply (sell) products. The full Energy Rating Label must be used in-store.
The colours, text, design or proportions of the objects in the Energy Rating Icon must not be modified. However, the Energy Rating Icon can be resized.
Zoned Energy Rating Icon
The Zoned Energy Rating Icon can be used for air conditioners that display the Zoned Energy Rating Label.
We have provided examples of three different types of Zoned Energy Rating Icons (heating and cooling, heating only and cooling only), as there are numerous possible combinations.

Embedding the Energy Rating Icon
