AUSTRALIAN CLOTHES DRYER ROUND ROBIN TESTING TO THE IEC61121 STANDARD

This report summarises results from the 2016 Australian round robin testing of clothes dryers to the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 61121 Tumble dryers for household use - Methods for measuring the performance (Edition 4) test standard.

The results showed an acceptable overall spread of energy consumption results across test laboratories of 3.0 per cent with machines fully loaded and 3.5 per cent with machines half loaded, which is in line with expectations for this type of appliance.

The report includes recommendations that have been provided to IEC’s SC59D (Performance of household and similar electrical laundry appliances) Committee.
