A (2014) review the MEPS program for incandescent, halogen and compact fluorescent lamps which explores a number of policy options for the future direction of the program.

This consultation document two purposes:

• To provide an update on the state of incandescent, halogen and compact fluorescent lamps, their capacity for improved energy efficiency and performance and the current and projected markets for sales of these lamps in Australia and New Zealand.
• To signal to stakeholders the opportunities and options that will likely form the basis of initial stakeholder consultation.
